algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Comment
Generative floor plan design with Grasshopper has revolutionized architectural workflows by enabling dynamic, algorithm-driven spatial configurations. This method allows architects and designers to quickly explore multiple layout options based on parameters like room size, circulation, and lighting. While the core of this technology lies in computational geometry, its real-world implementation often involves collaboration with various specialists—such as a plasterer in Kent, who ensures the digitally envisioned forms translate flawlessly into physical spaces. Grasshopper’s flexibility empowers users to adapt floor plans efficiently, making it an essential tool in modern architecture and interior design.
Grasshopper for Rhino is a game-changer in the world of algorithmic modeling! Its visual programming interface makes complex geometry creation more intuitive and flexible, especially for architects and designers. From parametric forms to real-time design iteration, it opens up endless creative possibilities. slab leak repair mckinney
Could you explain how you verify your minimal adjacency requirement?
@Rafat
Thanks, it's a simple algorithm. I generate a point for every room I want in the boundary. With these points I make a voronoi diagram. Then I return a square grid. The squares are distibuited for each Voronoi area based on the location of the center point. Then I verify the minimal areas of the rooms and the minimal adjacency I want.
@Fred
Hi, I'm asking myself what happened to you..I graduated in December.With my thesis I managed to make an algorithm that will respect my rules. Now I'm trying to complete the job with an algorithm for the internal distribution of cells and another for the generation of the stairwell.
And you? Could you answer also in private.
Hi Andrea.
Nice! Sorry I realize I completely forgot to send you my files last year :)
How is your thesis going?
great job bro, can you describe how we can achieve it.
