i understand. would it be possible that i can have a look on the code or VB script you are using. i have the feeling that i might be able to help me because at the moment i turn in circles without much progress.

hi Dirk,

 

I did this growing by VB script component, but the growing rule is not CA. I modified the rule of CA and gave each cell some properties like age, size, orient, and endurance of crowding.

i wrote this script in vb component and use timer to update it.

may i ask how you did that CA growing? did y ou do it with rabbit or you use mantis together with mathematica? i am asking you thins because i am working on a research project about CA based facade  design.
