I am a bachelor of architecture student and a newbie to grasshopper, i got to know about you from one of your students at IAAC, as a part of exploring grasshopper and research i thought of doing generative design with grasshopper.
The idea was to do the spatial zoning and massing on a site based on some density calculations. but so far i could just achieved a basic volume(cuboid) which went beyond the plot boundary from the script attached with this post. The goals that i look to achieve are 1) massing according to the density calculation 2) division of plot and zoning of different programmes 3) environmental analysis (which might be achieved by gecko)
I cant figure a way to achieve the desirable output as i am newbie to this as well as i couldnt find any guidance around me from the people i know or over the internet. It would be nice if u could have a look and guide me to complete this script succesfully as this is something a lot of people have been talking about but couldnt find any1 who had successfully achieved this.
Hello Luis, fine to meet you here! After a long time of abstinence I am really glad to have some spare time to work and play with grasshopper again. Recently I did attend a course given by Steffen Riegas in Berlin for working with the VB Script Component. That opens new dimensions for me - but is not so easy for one who did learn programming before the OOP era..
Thank you for your continued grasshopper contributions. I was interested in having a chat regarding kml component. I too would be interested in having more control over color, camera and adding custom data.
hey, I saw that you were checking with elk about using api for more nodes instead of just the xml data osm file, and I saw that you did a test run and it looks great, I am trying to do some diagrams for a project that I wam working on and I need more details like you got in your test run, would you be able to send me the file that I can edit to my longitude and latitude to get all the info that I need? Thanks
Can we send data from grasshopper in one pc to grasshopper in another pc linked with lan using ghowl, to more processing... if yes, how? and will it be able to update the data stream if e change the parameters in the first pc?
Is there a primer or a document/video of some sort as a tutorial...since m new to ghowl ?
hey louis, this is george from the htwk leipzig.....got a littl prob with my current project. these streamlines arent made with grasshopper, but they should be! there are nice tools from daniel piker to do this, but i cannot generate nice and clean streamlines from the points! please give me some tipps.........greetz george
Por alguna razon (quizas evidente) haz sido una referencia frecuente en mis visitas al grupo de GH. On top of that acabo de recibir un correo invitandome a uno de tres de los workshops oficiales para Mcneel de LaN en Estados Unidos. Me da gusto verlo.
No voy a tus cursos pero ojala nos topemos mas pronto que no.
Mateo (ex colega, una generacion abajo, tuyo del DRL), just posting a friendly hello.
Hi Luis Fraguada, thanks for your great udp receiver! I adapted it, so that it receives lists of data, insted of single data items. This feature i used to track a motion path:
