Hi Arthur,

(Flat_circlepacking_ikerImage.gh)

I have manage to adapt this definition that Daniel Piker worked on(circle packing), o an image-field that defines the radii of the circles, but my main target is to optimize the radii for a better arrangement and population within the image-field allowing the radii to change and adapt during the simulation... some one posted in you tube a great video where they show this plus other interesting packing logic's....

here is the link:

any suggestions about to achieve similar results as image base/fighting for space....?

thanks

Iker

Hi again,

I have solved the problem this morning with 'surfacesplit' (since I was dealing with splines creating surfaces, and those needed trimming there where they were overlapping) + some 'list' and 'tree' paths that where not correctly setup.

Thanx.

Hi Arthur,

hope thiongs are well. - Not yet, I have done some trials with the 'region' and/or some of the 'surface' and 'intersect' tab utilities but with no luck. - The real issue is to delete overlapping surfaces...

In any case, thanx and let you know if I get a solution.

Arthur, thank you for your comment, in fact I used to have xausus.com but now  I doesn't have it now and I don't know  who seizes it now..

Thanks Mani, well, the method is very simple: we first need to create a rectangle based in a loft operation of some curves with control points, subdividing the surface, then we need a  surfacebox operation later the boxmorph with some geometry. We could  move the control points on one vector, and presto!,one organic flow.

thanks arthur
for the animation I did some test but basically I've used Vicente Soler's definition found here http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/vray-animation wich renders geometry directly from rhino, using the current renderer,I've used vray for my renderings..it has some bugs and restictions, but its definetly better than the simple slider-animation

best

hey! I was wondering if you ever got able to make a surface from a grid of points.
I saw your post
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/patch-surface-from-points

the thing is that I need to make a surface from a grid of points just like you and I cant figure it out. Would you help me out?
thanks in advance
take care

Hi ARTHUR,

Thanks a lot for your attention. This is my final thesis .I work on topological surface but I use CAD and MAX. My subject is Mediateque Center. I am starting to learn GH. I add other photos of my thesis. Your project is very nice .especially your rendering is perfect.
Best regards.
