MARC FORNES / THEVERYMANY is hiring a Computational Designer

Following a series of new projects, MARC FORNES / THEVERYMANY is seeking applicants for a full-time Computational Designer position in our studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn.

MARC FORNES / THEVERYMANY specialize in architecture and design at the intersection between ultra-thin lightweight structures and spatial experience. This work is deeply rooted in computational research (descriptive geometry, unique Stripes segmentation...) and digital fabrication. Ongoing projects are located across the US, Canada, China and Taiwan. More information about the studio can be found at theverymany.com.

Successful candidates can expect to be involved in advanced 3D modeling within Rhino, the development of custom computational strategies within Grasshopper or directly in Python + Rhinoscript or Rhinocommon, and the development of large scale prototypical structures. Candidates should be collaborative yet self-directed. Bachelor or Masters of Architecture required. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Applicants must be eligible to work within the US.

Technical Qualifications:

• High proficiency in 3D modeling within Rhino

• Expertise in Grasshopper is an absolute must

• Python + Rhinoscript skills prefered, Rhinocommon skills is a plus

• Digital fabrication experience preferred

• Excellent rendering and image-making skills
