Maurizio Barberio obtained a Master's Degree in Architectural Design in the 2014 from the Polytechnic of Bari with a thesis about the "New High Speed Railway Station of Bari" which has been awarded with a honorable mention from the prestigious "Italian Prize for Sustainable Architecture - Fassa Bortolo". He collaborates with professors and researchers of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Bari on a number of essays, projects and prototypes. Currently he has won a PhD scholarship from the Roma Tre University. Barberio is developing a research on the relationship between digital architecture and traditional fabrication.
His works has been published and featured on websites such as Inhabitat, Archinect and World Architects and many more.
