Nice,
This process of stepped transition is indeed something worth exploring as a design.
For the moment I am sticking to 2D tiles, as I am mostly intrested not only on the gradient scaling of constant patterns, but in superimpossing different patterns and assess the visual output and the pseudo3d effect.
