The voronoi formation is based on Frie Otto theories about occupational territories and occupational paths. Also directly inspired by Tafoni formations and exiting technologies such as geo-Cells (A type of geo-membranes). Through a physical/Analog experiment I manage to generate an emergent data-scape that allowed me to extract a formation pattern which later I was able to plot it into rhino/grasshopper

Ok, but why does the yellow voronoi represent those paths where the reef balls needs to be placed?

What is the connection between the voronoi and tide?

The reef ball by it self don't do much, but if you look into how corals and types of coral formation protect the coastline this would allow you to understand how you could use this great system of reef ball in a strategic way to optimist its quantities (as their implementation could be a bit expensive) in a more optimized way allowing the biomass growth to do the rest in time, but this is a bit tricky as water condition also could affect coral grow therefore you need to be aware of this conditions so you can contra-rest this effect by adapting the design and quantity of reef balls needed.... (the yelow voronoi represent the paths where the reef balls need to be implement therefore creating a coral carpet in time-the green voronoi inset lines)

Hm, very interesting, as I thought. That growth of coral you are mentioning (using the Reef ball technology) also reduces the chances of erosion?

Actually the simulation helped me to understand and visualize the tide and current behavior, allowing me to approximately predict the areas with high probabilities of erosion and sediment translocation, therefore informing the strategic plantation of mangrove where the geology requires to be stabilize , allowing me to orchestrate the relation between mangroves, the geological conditions and the local environmental dynamics, turning something that is perceived as something negative to something positive, embarrassing the environmental dynamics and working with it and not against it.

But this image is not very clear by it self, as it is one of a set of images that shows the evolution of the selected island in time, plus also the images and videos that I posted are just a small part of the overall project. I also integrated in the areas of greater depth where mangrove can't grow, an existing technology call REEF BALL that helps and triggers the growth of coral. Therefore, using the new marine environment and bio-mass as sediment mediators, where the marine life also can flourish.
