@randy illa, this has nothing to do with your six core i7 processor and you 32GB memory. The sub-division level of this mesh polygon is too much, means the faces of the meshes are not the simplest faces.  I highly recommend that u convert this model into maya to reduce the face then this would run super smoothly in Rhino or C4D.

I was wondering what kind of computing power was needed to drive such a high poly mesh.  I have an i7 six core with 32 GB and almost ran out of memory at about 500k polys (merge plugin operation in Cinema4d).  Thx.
