Yeah, voronoi is a bit old-hat and kind of overused. It produces some random and interesting results very quickly, but because of that is seen in a lot of designs and competitions that need a quick eye-catcher. The reality is that in most cases the immense cost of building a totally random and unrepeating pattern as a solid wall means it usually doesn't make it into the real world. 

Also the texture is not realistic - it wouldn't have the gaps. Better to use some nice concrete texture.
