these are really great, turning a 2dim material into a 3dim form. did u laser cut the pattern into the metal and then push the forms up yourself?

Thank you. It is actually 2ply paper. Our laser cutters won't cut metals. The definition is inspired by expanded metal. I will be looking for a local water jet outfit.

I have tried the same thing with other materials like perspex/acrylic. Below image could be inspiring.
