Here's an earlier version of the ghx file to produce this geometry. It wants a closed brep centered on the origin. 3Axis_Brep_Dome.ghx

Nice...this is where I did my undergrad. Chris is a great asset there, though, I was there before he arrived at CU. I remember seeing the new building when it was still gutted out...you guys hve some great facilities now! Congrats on the laser dome!

Great project.
I am looking at doing a similar system but on a much larger scale.
Any chance you could share the .ghx file/rhino scripts you used to work out the structure?

Yes, this project was done at CU Boulder under the direction of Chris K. Palmer. The piece was inspired by his CNC router pavilions. I wanted to produce a dome on the laser cutters. The grasshopper definition I made allowed me to adjust the intersecting ribs to insure it was structurally sound and all the pieces would fit on a 32" x 18" laser bed. I also used Palmer's awesome rhino script to process the connections.

This looks like the CU Boulder Gallery... Nice project, is this with Chris Palmer?
