The basic geometry was generated by creating geodesic curves on the surface of a torus. The geodesic curves were defined in three sets with a start point and direction using the tool within  Gridshell Components. These were then manually trimmed and used as the input for the Centrelines component (also part of Gridshell Components) to create the woven triaxial geometry.
