Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

A quick image from the final testing on the mesh+ 2 smoothing components. This geometry was made from a Weaverbird Dodecahedron, with Doo Sabin ngon subdivision applied. Then inward Stellation was applied to 4- sided polygons and a capped outward Frame to 5+ sided polygons. The result was smoothed using 2 passes of Catmull Clark and the offset component. Image rendered from Neon render with Brazil.

The last major release of mesh+ is now available for download which includes 7 ngon subdivision methods as well as a revised ngon mesh component and a new map data component. There will be support for issues and bug fixes, but no major updates are planned until Grasshopper 2. Also, documentation and updated samples are under development now, soon to be released.
