algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Cobogó is the name for hollow elements, originally made of concrete or ceramic, created in the 20th Century. Its name derives from the initials of the surnames of three engineers that worked in Recife, Brazil: Amadeu Oliveira Coimbra, Ernest August Boeckmann and Antônio de Góes. These elements follow the same principle of the old wooden elements of Moorish architecture: solution to the closure of structures. Since they are hollow, they allow the passage of light and ventilation. We decided to use it as a reference to our brick not only for the hollow sections to spare material but also believing that it would be structurally strong since it is already used in architecture. As it is a strong element in brazilian modernist architectural movement, we thought, since the team is from Brazil, to pay an hommage and to have fun with elements used in different times of history.
