Hi Andrei

First I would like to say I enjoy paying attention to your voronoi light design; however, I have one question regarding its procedural approach and hopefully I could obtain an answer from you. My question to you is exactly why are there so many people use voronoi diagram/strcuture in their product design practice? Voronoi diagram is a discrete mathematical idea that involves geometric optimization, and yet I don't quite understand why voronoi can be used in light design or furniture design. I have seen many design works done by many architects and designers using voronoi tessellation, yet I cannot undersand why they use it. Is it merely for visual novelty? Does it possess any practical application rather than just using the homologic appraoch (decorative purpose)?

Thing is I believe that there are many applications in voronoi diagram beyond mere visual mimicry and organoform styling in design. Is it possible for you to share some of your perspectives on this and explain why you chose voronoi diagramto be your design element?

Thank you

- Paul
