“Zima”: cellular aggregation pad

http://morphocode.com/work/research/zima-pad/

Zima” cup pad is the first product of a series of houseware designs, that Morphocode is currently working on.

The aggregation process starts with a single cell.
Soon, the birth of a few neighbors leads to a consistent structural growth, governed by simple rules of interaction.
Each successive step gives rise to an intricate, self-organized pattern.
