Hi Paul, I'm Javier Alcazar 5-year student of architecture at Alicante (Spain), I am developing an adaptive architecture project, and I like to do something related to fish Branques. If you were kind enough to send the file grasshopper, I would be infinitely grateful. A greeting javi.alcazar @ hotmail.com

Hello,

I am an exhibit designer working on a laser cut tension fabric design. I am trying to achieve a similar effect to what you have here.

Could I possibly get a copy of this file so that I can learn how to create a "skin" like this?

Thank you!

Hello Paul, I'm designing a building that is focused on fish gills, would you mind if I could get a copy of the file, I would give you full credit for the grasshopper file of course. Please let me know if this would be possible Mendez274@hotmail.com

When you say subsrf, does it mean the one single surface? It seems you create one single surface and divide by U,V and explode into small pieces.

I do not understand roatation process. I think I can create one center point on each U,V lines.

But, I cannot imagine next step. Also, how did you make variation of extent of openess?

Did you put number slider for each small pieces? Or it is controlled by one attaractor?

Could you send me more clear picture of grasshopper or file? I am very curious about your work.

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate
^^

Thank you, what do you mean with open skin? mmm it sounds interesting.
the definition is quite simple, you have just to make subsrf, list them, explode, create u/v lines and then rotate the central one using a control point. at the end you loft them.
is the same you can see in the movie i made.
i will publish an image later.

tchuss!

I really like your work.

If possible, can you share the ghx file since I want to study how to make open skin.

Thanks~~
