I meant, the contractor gives you the outline (border line) of the each elevation.

Then you paste it onto the upper rectangles, and cut the outer space from it?

we output excell spreadsheet with list of boards indexed by location with specific length and color. we used the list to develop a sequenced instruction in the construction document. as for the construction itself it is a standard manual siding installation, nothing fancy. the contractor just needs to know which board to grab when... is that what you mean?

Yes, but rectangles are constrained to (3) colors and (4) different lengths.

How does this script exactly work? It is cutting the random rectangles from the gradient patterns?
