Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Just testing out my brick laying system. It's getting more and more complicated as each new feature is added. Here i am using a bitmap to control brick rotation. The same bitmap is used to move bricks closer to eachother when they are rotated so they don't float in mid air at larger angles.

I've been asked many times to share my definitions. The good news is, yes! i've decided to do that. The bad news, i no longer have access to most of my GH files. I dare not even look at the version numbers, as i doubt that anyone would be able to open my old definitions :)

The meh news are, I am working on retrieving the definitions, and/or reworking them. The idea was to create tutorials for each one. When that happens, they will be posted on my website, so feel free to drop by from time to time:

Would be possible to share this definition? I am learning and trying to put something similar together.

Not sure what you mean by short end. If you were just to rotate some of the bricks you would see through themsince the gap would increase. If the angle is extreme it would increase so much that some bricks would float. But i added another parameter that moves the bricks the same way they are rotated, hence the irregularity in the bond on the right side. I still have a problem though, when the bricks rotate the ones that have a small angle intersect.

Thats pretty cool. Can you see through the bricks then if we were facing their short end?
