uld be much better than Rhino at huge mesh collections. I'd personally try free Autodesk Meshmixer and ZBrush first but most designers are more familiar with rendering programs like Maya or 3DS Max. I'm not familiar enough with architecture to suggest a list as only Revit and Sketchup come to mind. Looking more closely, CAD Exporter is only for 2D curves and points, how silly, and it requires baked geometry in a Rhino layer: I could write a Python script to export an STL but that would be a large ascii format file instead of binary. Better to use OBJ to retain quad faces, too. Ah, well, OBJ files are also ascii format when exported from Rhino, so it would be quite easy to make a script to export those directly to disk from Grasshopper. olume a factor of x bigger, the scaling factor needs to be x^(1/3) which is the same as the cube-root of x. In this case we don't just want to make the volume x bigger, we need to get a specific volume,  so the first step is to compute x, which is the Target volume divided by the Current volume.…

Topic: Finding adjacent squares in a grid
ace. What I am trying to do is then take these indexes and arrange them to fit a grid - so that all shared edges meet up. e.g. Surface 0 shares edges with surfaces 7 and 8, surface 7 shares edges with 19,4, 3, surface 3 shares and edge with 8 etc. What I need to do is graphically represent this in a grid, so that I can map out the uvs and effectively solve the problem of surface seams. Does anyone have a clue how to do this kind of 2d shuffling?…

this doesn't make any sense... but the Data Log component for Firefly does essentially what the Data Recorder now does (although the Data Recorder is much more compact)... The only difference is that there is a Wrap input which would create the list as above.…
