lysing and assessing sustainable performance of buildings and structures, called sustainability-open. Yes, open-source: that means everybody can use it as much as they want. We hope that this will give designers and engineers to make more sustainable buildings and structures in the future. And you can take a look at our code - to learn or improve it if you like! The framework is still in early stage and doesn't do a lot yet at the moment, so this is your chance to become an early-adopter.(By the way, very soon new components will come out that will early let you do more.)
The framework is linked to Grasshopper and Rhino - as soon as we have a little bit more, we will add some links on this site too.
At the Design Modelling Symposium Berlin (September 28 - October 3)we will host a workshop over the weekend which will show you everything about the framework and its components, our future plans, etc. We will also teach you how to develop your own components. Not everything will be purely related to the framework as we will be doing a lot of .net development related to Rhino/Grasshopper and other parametric applications. If you would like to know more about the framework, take a look at: http://www.sustainability-open.com or follow us on Twitter: @sustainableopenIf you would like to sign up for the workshop in Berlin or would like to know more, go here:https://www.design-modelling-symposium.de/frontend/index.php?folder_id=180Regards,Jeroen…

DESCRIPTION : Two seemingly contrasting ideas combined will turn into something remarkably new. This resulted in the idea of Digital Craftsmanship – connecting the digital technology with artisans’ craftsmanship. Singapore is uniquely positioned to benefit from both – the latest technology in digital fabrication, as well as the beautiful and rich culture of ASEAN craftsmanship in countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam. The NUS digital fabrication in architecture studio introduces advanced design to fabrication flow, such as 3D modeling, simulation, digital fabrication and physical assembly and testing. We discover existence of data flow distinguishes digital and conventional craftsmanship, prolonging the interface between human and object. The result is very encouraging –the Digital Craftsmanship approach could lead innovative yet regionally relevant contemporary architectural design, complex yet controlled functional geometry and aesthetics. We hope this exhibition could raise our awareness about preserving the precious wisdom of traditional craftsmanship alongside with advanced fabrication technologies in architecture.

The thing is that if I raise the -aa parameter from 0.05 to 0.1 all works fine..
Is this only related to my PC then?? What should I do to solve this issue?
Thanks again for your help

inventive collaborative environment.
The workshop is part of a series of PARAMETRICA events, promoting computational design thinking and exploring the new possibilities of parametric design.
The workshop is aimed at: students, postgraduates, architects, interior, product and urban designers, engineers, anybody interested.
> Workshop CONCEPT (16th – 28th July 2013):
The advancement of digital technology is helping architects to understand and respond to the complexity of the environment surrounding us.
In this 14 day workshop the various energies which exist in a given environment will be identified, analysed and then digital simulated.
Experimental structures capable of reconfiguring themselves in response to the mapped forces will be generated and fabricated.
> Conference CONCEPT (29th July 2013):
During this day we will present the final workshop projects and our special guest, Patrik Schumacher will exploit the subject of computational design thinking and parametric architecture, by putting the accent on the subject “Parametric Semiology – Architecture as the interface of communication”
> OBJECTIVES:
The workshop objectives are two-fold, in the first phase the workshop focuses on the identification and analysis of resources inherent to the environmental context, thus developing a better understanding of their nature as well as optimized methods of use or response.
In the next phase, the objective is to generate structures which through either means of fabrication or material properties can respond to, or utilize the environmental energy sources.
