xtruded to shade these windows. The goal is that I could control the depth of the frames at each of the diamonds' 4 points with 4 different numeric sliders. Once this is done, I plan on having the extrusion distance of each point correspond to the path of the sun.
Using LunchBox, I already have part of the solution, but it only controls 1 of the 4 points, and the extrusions are just flat planes without any depth. I'm wondering how I can improve this so that all 4 points can be adjusted independently and the whole panel shape responds accordingly with an actual thickness.I've attached the grasshopper definition I've been working with and would be glad if somebody could point me into the right direction. Thanks!

t is to find an optimized shape of the bridge, and in order to do this we have added following parameters: The curve shape of the bridge, the cross sections, the bridge height and width, the location of the connecting bridge and a few other parameters – I think we have 40-50 parameters (I know it is to many :) ).
Our design criteria’s for the bridge are as following (collected in one fitness function):
Utilization, stress check < 100% (done manually in Grasshopper by using the sectional forces from Karamba)
A minimum allowable natural frequency (the frequency is calculated by Karamba)
A maximum allowable acceleration (planned to be calculated by an expression in grasshopper)
When the three criteria are met, the fitness function will try to reduce the weight of the bridge as much as possible.
My main question is about the acceleration. Before we can calculate the accelerations we need the node point (the location) for the maximum deflection of the mode shape (ex. mode 1). Is this in any way possible?
If we have the location for the maximum deflection, we can add a load in exactly that point and hereby calculate the maximum acceleration.
Besides the main problem I also have a minor problem by showing the deformation:
Deformation for the 1st mode shape – no problem, deformation figure is shown:
Deformation for a simple load case – problem, deformation figure is NOT shown:
Does anybody know why this can be?
Thanks in advanced.

oping that you can help me out.. I feel like what I am looking to do is very easy (I don't think it's doable with just GH though? If I'm wrong please tell me !!!)
The specific situation is I have a field of say 20 points randomly assorted. For each point, I want to find its nearest point (through drawing a vector to each point and calculating the minimum?) and then draw a line between the two. The way I have been doing this has been to make a separate GH function for each point while shifting the list of items 1 per function, but when I have over 20, over 100! items this becomes extremely tedious (to say the least..)
Thank you very much for any help you can give.. If you need any more information or a sample file please let me know.
Thanks
Nick
EDIT: What I'm actually looking to do at this point, because I've already gone through manually and done all 115 of these with their unique functions is find the SECOND nearest point. In making an individual GH function per point it means creating a vector to each point, sorting the results, extracting the second solution, making a line of that vector. I am thinking that whether it is the first closest or second closest point wouldn't make that much of a difference within the script... I hope I am right, because I have a feeling I need to do this many different times!!…
