Information

Emu

EMU is an interactive structural analysis and form-finding tool based on a 6DOF (6 degrees of freedom) formulation of the dynamic relaxation method. It is aimed to be used in early design stages but yet giving real structural feedback.

Emu was developed as part of a Master's thesis in Structural Engineering and Building Technology at Chalmers University of Technology, with the aim of simulating the very non-linear process of elastic gridshell erection

Hey james,

Sorry it's been quiet for a _very_ long time. I am indeed planning on doing a public beta release relatively soon (for real this time). There are some issues I'm currently working on to solve just before. If you're interested, I could send you a pre-beta version.

Hey Emil, Are you still planning to let us have a play with this at some stage? Would be really very useful.

Very cool! Excited to see where this goes.

Excited to see the beta when available. Playing with 6 d.o.f dynamic relaxation in gh would be useful for some current work.
