Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Seems like I can't install the new version of weaverbird.

When I run the installer all I get is this message: "There is a problem with this installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

running Rhino 5 sr 6 and latest GH (0.9.66) on win 8.

Any clues?

Hi Carl

I've heard sometimes of this issue. It usually went away by:

- uninstalling the earlier version of Weaverbird (from the Control Panel)

- restarting Windows and performing a clean install

Does it help?

Thanks,

Giulio

Solved it, by running installation in combability mode for "previous version of windows".

Interesting. I have no idea what Windows added in this release, then.

Did you uninstall, first? Thanks!

yes i uninstalled the old version as well, maybe that was the thing that really fixed it.

Hi all,

I've the same problem, i can't install weaverbird 0.9.0.1. even though I have removed/ uninstalling the earlier version, but it still didn't work.

i'm running Rhino 5 SR6 and the latest grasshopper 0.9.0.0070

do you have any suggestion?? because I'm very very frustating with this problem

thanks

Can you provide a screenshot of the error?

Thanks!

Giulio

Hi, Giulio.

it always have the same problem :

"There is a problem with this installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

The fix for this is simple. Uninstall from the control panel. Restart Windows. Install.

This should fix it.

Thanks,

Giulio

Hi all;

Same here in windows 8
Also I tried running installation in compatibility mode for previous version of windows.
And there is no earlier version.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I think you can install the no-admin version manually, then. I do not really know what is causing this. Thanks for letting me know, though.
