movement of curve using control points in grasshopper

Hii all,I was trying to move a curve in rhino by moving its control points in grasshopper,but while doing so I have encountered a problem. when I select the curve and apply the control point command box, the output section shows 11 control points while my curve only has 8 control points. what could be the reason? and how do I resolve it?
