Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello David,

great work! also wanted to say thanks for adding the tooltips - they are really useful!

i noticed something in the vertex ordering of the Bridge and Span Component. In some cases the sorting algorithm twists the connection between the two meshes.

Christian,

Thank you for pointing out this issue, I had not run into it, but would be happy to see if I can solve it.

Can you post the piece of the file that is causing this issue and ill see if I can resolve it

Hello David,

of course here it is.. also the face normals point to different directions for these elements. Would it be possible to avoid that?

Best,

Christian

Took a while to get around to addressing this one.

It seems the issue was caused because the planes used for sorting the vertex lists were lining up with a vertex and sometimes this would result in the shifted list if it was to close to tolerance.

Rotating the plane by a degree seems to have fixed this. In the even this issue arises again, let me know, and ill come up with a new method.

The latest release of mesh(+) has the corrected components, also attached below.

Thank you, looking forward to test them soon!
