algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I just started playing around with this great tool. Is there anyway I can receive daylight hours analysis on a set of existing, irregular points on the xy plane? Thanks!

When you set the mesh resolution in the LBSunlightHours component you get what you are asking for. Instead of getting a specific point you get a patch result. Your point (or points) of course are embedded in the patch. You can't ask for a point result.

Hi Nelson,

As Abraham mentioned the component is not designed to use test points as an input however you can use a trick to run your study using the test points. The component uses center point of each mesh face as the test points so you only need to generate some small meshes with single face instead of the test points. Here is an example:

Thanks for the quick reply guys!  Mostapha, I made a single square surface for each point in my list and input grid size in relation to the square size.  I think this is generally what you were suggesting? It seems to get the job done.

Hi Nelson! Good job... That's all you need!
