algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone!

I just start using Ladybug and Honeybee, I've been doing the example files and came across a problem with the Honeybee example file 04 Grid Based Analysis:

I can't match the "length of the results" with the "length of the mesh"

Any advise?

Thanks for the help!

Hi German,

You usually need to flatten and join the input mesh to get it fixed however I'm not sure if it is the case for you. Can you share your file?

Hi Mostapha,

Thank you for your quick response and even more for such an amazing program! I watched the first webinar but unfortunately couldn't make it for the second one. Very good stuff!

To the point. The definition is just the same as you have put together with the example files. When working with it I came across some other questions:

1- How do you define the size of the grid to match the length of the results with the mesh faces? A gird size 1 means that is 1 unit in which direction?

2- Is there a predefined height for the room where the grid is? My room is divided in two, or in other words there are two analysis grids in it.

Again, thanks a lot!!!

Hi German,

1. It should happen automatically.

2. There is no predefined number. In your case Mass2Zone divides your file into separate geometries since part of the geometry is below xy plane (has negative z). The component is set to consider XY as z = 0. I think I should make it as an options so you can set it to False in cases similar to yours.

If you just push the geometry upward all the problems will be solved. Check the attachment.
