algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all,

I'm trying to simulate an evaporative cooling tower in Energyplus. The base case analysis is running fine and I'm able to results. I'm hoping to integrate a passive downdraft evaporative cooling system in my test zone. I wish to see the potential decrease in kWh/m2 upon integrating this system.

Unfortunately, I'm facing some problems. I'm getting two error messages in the RunEnergySimulation component.

1. The simulation has not run correctly because of this severe error:
** Severe ** ZoneCoolTower:Shower="EVAPTOWER" invalid Zone Name: "COOLZONE" not found.

1. The simulation has failed because of this fatal error.

** Fatal ** ZoneCoolTower:Shower errors occurred in input. Program terminates.

I've tried various PDEC integration methods with my geometry. What is the proper way to place or design a tower with my geometry?

I'm attaching the Rhino file along with the GH file.

I'm Also attaching the definition available in Hydra for reference.

Thanks! looking forward to your reply.

Hi Majed,

In this error, because there is no zone named "CoolZone".

CoolZone in additionalstrings will have to reference the name of a Zone that you have assigned(test_room).

They must have the same name.

Also, see this discussion for more info.
