Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone!

I have problems with the unit conversion between Grasshopper and Karamba. I've modeled everything in [mm] (The model has to be in [mm]) but Karamba takes all the geometric inputs in [m]. Is there a setting that makes Karamba use [mm] instead?

The problem is that I receive huge values at the supports wich I Think is due to the fact that the mesh to Shell function converts my [mm] mesh into [m] Shells(?)

Is the smartest way to overcome this problem to divide the loads with 1000 for line loads and 1000000 for meshloads?

Any tips for this issue or answers on how to solve it?

Best regards,

Hi Jajjan,

Karamba automatically inteprets all units as meters. Therefore you need to either scale your model down to meters before inputing it into Karamba.
