algorithmic modeling for Rhino

HI,

I am testing the deformations in a beam flat structure that is supported in 4 points near the center. I have been working with various BeamsIDs si I can distribute material properties differentially but I started getting 2 sets of beams when I use the ViewModel component. No I simplified my definition and I am only using one type of beam and one type of material and I still get this strange error. I tried flattening the list of support points to no avail. As you can see on the screenshot, I connected a panel to the Assemble component ans I get this:

Model:
Nodes: 5302
Beams: 6956
Materials: 2
Cross sections: 2
Point-loads: 0
Point-masses: 0
Mesh-loads: 0
Gravities: 1
Loadcases: 1
Supports: 4
BeamSets: 0
c.Length: 56.0[m]

I have only defined one crosssection and one material, here it says there are 2. Is this the problem? Why is this happening?

Thanks you!

Hi Federico,

the second material is a that for inactive elements which is added by default. If you plug a panel into the 'def. Model'-plug of the ModelView it tells you there are two models?

Best,

Clemens
