Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Karamba users,

I have a question regarding mesh loads. I want to put a load on a certain part of a mesh, see the picture below:

I now make a seperate mesh and put the load on that mesh. But the two meshes have different triangulation so the load is distributed weirdly. Does anyone else have experience with this?

Greetings,

It also goes over the edges of the specified surface/mesh:

Another example:

I wouldn't have thought you'd be able to do it easily by re-meshing. I would approach it by trying to isolate the areas vertices you want load, perhaps by a separate surface and then  points closest to it or something?

I found a solution by deconstructing the mesh and adding the vertices to the intersection points of the base mesh.

Good one, and thanks for posting the solution :)
