algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, I have a student version of karamba for half year.

our research project is using foam to build large-scale structure. I want to analyse the structure by using BESO method in Karamba. But there are only 4 kinds of material of wood, concrete, steel and aluminum in the material library.  Does anyone has data for material foam or how can I set up parameters for material foam?

thanks.

Dear Gefan,

you can define your own material using the 'Material Properties'-component. The important material properties you need to look up (e.g. on the Internet) are the materials stiffness (i.e. Young's Modulus) and the long term strength of the material (the input for the 'fy' input-plug).

Best,

Clemens

You have a very interesting research project. In my student years, with the help of a good resource https://paperell.com/ when I did research work on many topics. Maybe they can help you too. Unfortunately, I cannot help you in finding your material, I hope you finish your work and I can get acquainted with it

Aluminum profiles are a popular choice for modern buildings because they offer strength, durability, and a clean appearance. They resist rust, require little maintenance, and perform well in different weather conditions. Many homeowners and builders prefer Perfiles de Aluminio Para Puertas y Ventanas due to their lightweight structure and long service life. These profiles also support energy-efficient designs and allow larger glass panels for better natural light. Their versatility makes them suitable for residential and commercial projects, providing a practical solution that combines functionality, reliability, and contemporary style for everyday use.
