Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear All,

I just installed the new kangaroo and have a hard time getting it to work properly. Any help would be great. I want to use it to make some solid metaballs.

The closest I can get is this comment from Daniel

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/kangaroo/forum/topics/panelling-...

It shows a def. to make the solid metaballs but it is for the old Kangaroo.

someone knows what to do?

kind regards,

Yasser

Hi Yasser,

Could you clarify what you are after? If you just want to generate a triangular mesh of metaballs then try using Cocoon.

It's more if you want to wrap a mesh of different topology such as quads where you might want to use Kangaroo, as discussed in the thread you link. I don't think I've posted an example of the level set force for K2 like the one in K1, but will try and do so soon.

Hey,

It seems that you may be looking for the "Starling mesh tools". More specifically the morphing approach:

Thank you all!, thursday I will look into it.

As far as i can tell now Cocoon is what I was looking for.

I just want to make solid meshes from the metaballs.

Thats it :)

Hi guys! i downloaded the Cocoon add-on. Can't really figure out how to get it to work. I added a verry basic script showing the issue.

I got section lines of metaball, all i want is to make it in to a mesh. Any suggestions?

thanks in advance,

Yasser
