Is it actually possible to find someone on a dating site for a long term relationship?

Don’t take me for a hardcore skeptic, but my experience says that on dating sites everyone is only interested in one night stands. I’m tired of it. I came here to find my person, and so far I’ve just found a ton of irritation and wasted nerves.
