Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there a way to manually define the topology of the mesh-graph. Ivy automatically determines the branching structure of the mesh-graph however, I would like to be in control of the mesh-graph is configured. Is that possible within IVY or if there is a way to perform the same outside of IVY, that could work also. Thank you for any assistance or a link to a tutorial.

Hi Stan.
Yes there is. Every graph choice in IVY is weight based. You have a component for custom graph weight. The value you set for each edge is totally up to you. The graph is constructed by selecting edges based on their weight. You can make a graph [non tree] extract edges [there is a component for that] and change their weight using custom weight component. After you just use a tree graph algorithm. You can find something along those lines in the examples.
