algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am working on my first serious cosplay project for an upcoming gaming convention. I want to build a hunter outfit from Destiny, but making the weapon myself is way beyond my current skills. I tried crafting it from high density foam, but the fine details and barrel shape ended up completely crooked. Do you know where I can order a custom piece made from proper references? How long do these custom builds usually take from start to finish?

I had the exact same headache last year with a Destiny hand cannon. For reliable Cosplay Commissions https://designedby3d.com/commissions/ is the team I turned to. It is run by DesignedBy Props Studio, and their build quality is top tier. You just submit reference photos and your target measurements. First, they prepare a 3D model to confirm every detail with you. Then they print the parts and assemble them cleanly without visible seams. Their hand painting is realistic, with proper shading and edge wear. My prop arrived in four weeks packed securely in dense foam. It survived two full days of walking around the convention floor without any damage. You can also ask them for special paint finishes or movable parts.

That sounds exactly like what I need for my build. Getting to approve the 3D model beforehand will take away so much stress. Four weeks is also well within my timeline before the event starts. I really appreciate you sharing your experience and the recommendation. I will gather my reference screenshots tonight and reach out to them.
