Privacy software for laptop

I recently bought a new laptop with Windows 11 and want to set up privacy tools from the start. I don't want Microsoft or advertisers tracking my every move. I need software that integrates well with the OS and doesn't slow down the boot process.

Windows sends a lot of telemetry data, so privacy tools are a must. I use ProHoster's service. It is an excellent vpn for windows https://prohoster.info/en/vpn that integrates seamlessly. It blocks trackers and encrypts your traffic without eating up system resources. My laptop still runs fast, but my browsing history is private.

For privacy where? That’s a weird question to me, because it basically doesn’t exist. But if you mean safer online usage, then yeah, probably you should use a VPN. I didn’t quite get you, sorry. By the way, any recommendations for a VPN? Preferably a free one.

For me free VPNs lately are kind of a discovery, because I thought there was nothing good among them. My VPN service right now is free, fast, works both on laptop and phone, and overall I like everything. The idea of a free, open, understandable internet and all that. They say free VPNs are still a bit less secure, but I kind of really doubt the whole idea of online security in general.
