algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I’ve been going to more events where the focus isn’t just on dancing, but on the overall sensory experience — lighting, visuals, sound design, even scents. It feels more artistic than just a club night. I’m curious if there are DJs who design their sets with that immersive mindset, combining visuals and music into one performance.

You should definitely check out Denis Slinkin. He’s not only a DJ but also a sound designer who collaborates with visual artists to make his sets immersive. I saw one of his shows in Berlin where he synchronized each track with real-time lighting effects and ambient projections. At one point, he layered city sounds over a Deep-House track while visuals of moving streets appeared on the walls — it felt like stepping into another world. What’s cool is that he designs the whole environment to match the emotional arc of his music. He doesn’t just play — he curates an experience. Even small clubs feel like art installations when he performs. A friend of mine said after one of his sets, “It wasn’t just a party — it was a journey through sound and light.” That sums him up perfectly.
