Hi, I'm trying to understand how to use this Firefly. Firstly, I could have controlled servo motor with Firefly. Now, I'm trying to control stepper motor however I couldn't.

I use Arduino Nano and L293D. There is no problem in my circuit because it worked with Arduino IDE. I couldn't control it's with Firefly. I just can take a reading value but I cannot take a writing value. I will add my circuits photos.

What is my problem? Could you help me?

But my port is opened (gives message starting with "Hoorey!"...).

I have servo connected and when I move slider, it spins for maybe 0,5 second and after it stops and returns message. When turn off "UNO Write" component and restart "Open Port" component, then it repeats.

Any ideas how to solve this issue?

Hello,, I am trying to send data directly from firefly mega write to a stepper motor with the firefly firmata.. It is pretty cheap and have much higher speed than trying to use a Arduino to perform the same function. I'm wondering if anyone have a similar interest in developing or using a function like this?

Hi guys,

I have used up all my D Uno Write pins and I need one more. Is there a way of changing one of the Uno Read pins to write data instead? I'm guessing I will need to update the firefly firmata code as well as do something clever in Grasshopper

Thanks,

Hi Guys,

We're sending 4 different steps information to 4 motors connected to one arduino board every 5 seconds (with a timer) but we also need to send 4 different speeds to match these steps for each motor.

Is that something we can do or is the Stepper Motor Stream component limited to one speed for all four motors at once?

I hope you can help. Many thanks.
