DIVA for Rhino

DIVA-for-Rhino is a plugin which runs thermal, daylight, solar radiation, and glare simulations. Our goal is to bring validated environmental simulations directly to the conceptual design environments of Rhino and Grasshopper.

Looking forward to DIVA 2.0.  We've been getting a lot of mileage out of the DIVA GH components.  Thanks for the great work.

Hi Fabian.  At the moment the energy simulations don't include natural ventilation; but, in principal, I can incorporate any methods native to EnergyPlus.  If you're familiar with EPlus input/output, you can let me know which methods you'd be interested in invoking.  Otherwise, I'll at least put 'natural ventilation of some sort' on the wish list (just bear in mind that this is not EnergyPlus's greatest strength).  I don't know if I'll get around to it before the tool becomes available, but I'll try to work it into a future update.  (As for PMV, it's not one of the outputs at the moment, but I can easily add it.)

We are in the midst of another DIVA release which will be generally available very soon. I put together a really simple walk through of running a Annual Solar Radiation Map analysis in DIVA for rhino and grasshopper here. It is using the new component but it is similar enough to use the current versions.

Hi.

I am apologizing for being rude, but can anybody show me the way I can use this plugin to calculate solar radiation on my curved surface? Is there a video, or tutorial?

Thank you.

Site was down briefly this weekend, I have re-linked the current assembly. A revised grasshopper assembly with new tools needs beta testing, will release soon.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks again for your great plugin!

I have plugged a mesh to the solver but got a red component.

Am I missing an input?

Many thanks,

Arthur
