Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

HI friends,

I am new to DIVA .I know there are two DIVA ,DIVA for Rhino and DIVA for GH .I am trying to learn about DIVA for GH .

I want to get some simple radation map analysis following some video toturial .But I cant get the same result as the video shows .Because my daylight component is orange and do nothing computation .

So I am thinking about wheather or not the two versions of DIVA is seperate ? Or I have to install DIVA for rhino firstly before I could use DIVA for GH ??

Thanks for any tips and helps .

Update:

I just found the DIVA.rhp and the tb files . Daylight component still doesnot work . And I notice something strange warning message appears while I tap the Meterials and Metrics buttons in rhino .The message as follow:

What should I do to kill this bug ?

Maybe I have found why this happens . Before run analysis in GH ,you have to run simulation first in Rhino .

Hello,

Yes, the 1.9 version of DIVA for Rhino goes with the 1.9 DIVA for grasshopper component and for the daylight analysis you do have to run a simulation in Rhino first. In the 2.0 release, the daylight component can run many of the simulations on its own (or include rhino scene geometry if selected).
