Hi all,

While transferring geometry from Revit to Grasshopper, I noticed that the geometry does not align to the rhino model. The two files share the same origin, however my Revit project has a "Project North" in addition to "True North", and I am almost certain that this rotation vector is responsible for the misalignment.

Is there any way in either program to correct this?

Hi there, I receive the following error when using AC Connect in Revit: Chameleon Error in Revit: "Revit could not connect with Grasshopper in a timely manner." I am importing a large file of wall panels, but I have also tried importing one single panel and have the same warning + crash. All points are correctly listed and ordered for the surfaces.
I'm not sure if anyone has come across this before. I have a Rhino file using centimeters units and a Revit file also using centimeters units, but when I use Chameleon to import objects from Revit to Rhino the objects come in 1000 times smaller than they are dimensioned in Revit.

I would appreciate any advice.

Ive recently started to test out various Grasshopper to Revit workflows, so I might be overlooking something obvious.

CACS created in one session of Revit can be re-loaded into the Grasshopper environment in another session.

Utility commands in the Grasshopper & Revit environments have been de-commissioned, to reappear in a separate plugin. Chameleon is focused on interoperability.

The GBXML component now works without needing proper latitude, longitude, & city data.

What I found was that Chameleon makes the following assumptions about the gbXML file

1) The 'Location' XML node must contain the Name, Latitude and Longitude nodes.
In that order and as the first child nodes of the Location node
e.g.

<Location>

<Latitude>-0.12750</Latitude>
<Longitude>51.50722</Longitude>
</Location>

2) Each 'Space' node must contain both the 'ShellGeometry' and 'SpaceBoundary' geometry.

If it contains just one or the other, then the component fails.

I'm not a gbXML expert, but the gbXML schema seems to indicate that all those items are 'optional'.
Installation instructions for Vasaritag:www.grasshopper3d.com,2013-04-17:2985220:Topic:8316882013-04-17T04:55:27.474Zaman guptahttps://www.grasshopper3d.com/profile/amangupta

Does anyone have a good tutorial link or written instructions for how to set up the adaptive components in Revit so that I can then use Chameleon to bring customized geometry from grasshopper to rvt?

I'm not sure if I quite understand how this plugin actually works...Any help would be awesome.
