Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi.

I am trying to write different data to different sheets.

I want to write all data with e.g. path 0 to sheet0

and all data in path 1 to sheet1 - for example.

But what ever I try, all data is written to all sheets. How do I solve my problem?

Any ideas.

Thanks.

Rasmus,

Unfortunately at this time the only way to do this would be to create a second copy of the XL out component.

I will look into updating the component so that data structured as:

{A;B}(C) could equal {Sheet;Column}(Row)

Okay. What I do now is just to let a slider create a unique sheet name as well as changing the  data. But something like you propose, would be great.

Thanks Rasmus

Hi David.

Any news on an update?

Best regards Rasmus

Rasmus,

I know its long delayed, but finally am getting around to addressing this issue.

My current thought is to switch the data location which is currently specified by a domain back to a point input and use the Z value to specify the sheet index.

Following Excels count from 1 not from 0 approach, if the Z value is 0 then the current sheet, or otherwise specified sheet will be used. if the value is an integer of 1+ then this value will specify sheet to place the value to. Creating the sheet index if it does not exist.

What are your thoughts?

Rasmus,

A new version of Bumblebee is now available which allows for multi sheet data reading, writing and evaluation.

Hi David.

It would be nice to recieve news/mail or similar whenever a discussion of interest was replied to :).

But it sounds good.

I will have a look at it soon.

Thanks.

Rasmus
