X-tremes (Curve Extremes) component makes errors for arcs

When I have an arc and I want to know the most extreme X point on it,

I use the YZ plane (so that X represents the highest/lowest).

The X-tremes component reports the same point for High and Low and it is wrong for both.

If I Divide and Interpolate the arc into a curve - the result is perfect.

Is this a known bug? Any known workarounds other that the ugly one I employed here?
