Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I tried to create a very simple loft and extrude surface using 2 curves and NOTHING HAPPENS. NOTHING IS BEING CREATED!!! WHY? i can not understand. And this is happening using many commands in Grasshopper recently.
Also is the development of grasshopper being terminated or suspended? When NEW VERSIONS will be created?
I HONESTLY believe that GRASSHOPPER IS FAR MORE A REVOLUTION in the industry of CAD than RHINO. Rhino is a very capable program that i think has reached its potentials and some minor improvements could be implemented. The DIFFERENCE NOW is being made by very few programs like GRASSHOPPER and GENERATIVE COMPONENTS. And the difference is in the amazing logic, visual, parametric and relational way that you design sth.

Hi Boris,

ok, this is a known bug. One of the objects in your document is causing that error, and if you disable the preview for it the display will work again. It's a bit of a pain, but you can find it by hiding all the object in the right half of your network. Then, if the display works again, turn half of those objects back on, and so on and so forth, until you narrow it down to a single object (or perhaps multiple objects)

I think the problem is most likely caused by a parameter which contains NULL items. So cleaning out data that shouldn't have NULLs might also help.

cool i found it thx, i just put a clean component to get rid of the null values and everything works, if your wondering i input a list of values with a null value into an explode then list item then curve point component and that's what caused the issue, thx again David your a lifesaver.
Based on your screenshot you're running a very recent version of Grasshopper; one of the 0.7 series. This series is build on a completely new SDK (it took me about 2 months to switch) and it still has many new bugs. It will take many weeks to iron them out.

Grasshopper development is not suspended. I'm currently spending a month in London on a work-related trip and am therefore not able to respond quickly to requests and bug reports.

OK, me best wishes for the development of GH, As i am a civil engineer and a graduate student of architecture, i am thinking of future implementations of GH in visual-parametric-relational architectural compositions like internal layout variations, exterior design explorations based in shape grammars and expert systems, mass studies etc.

Hello, i'm currently working with shape grammars, this means working with geometry (topology) and expert systems. Currently i need to check whether rhino sdk is appropiate for SG. Can you give some feedback about your work?
Thank you, Rodrigo
