<p>If you only want to "project" the curve, you can use "Pull Point".</p>
<p>If you still want to use kangaroo, i think you need to anchor one extreme and then use the mouse to grab (alt key) the other extreme and manually pull. Also set the segments lines with original length and points OnMesh.…</p>
