It's even the software description - "<em><b>Rhino</b> is a free-form <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>NURBS</strong></span> surface modeler." </em>So they throw some mesh in there to support some stuff. Same as Houdini or Maya (not even Zbrush at all) throws some NURBS stuff in there for…</p>
