algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello everyone,
I am trying to distort a set of Rhino created surfaces to respond to an attractor point.
I would like the attractor point to define the angle at which objects are distorted, in addition to the amount of distortion.
What I have done so far is to map the Rhino surfaces to a distorted surface using the surface morph component, which works very well for elements in the UV plane (as per example GH file). However I'd like to achieve something along the lines of the screenshot.
What I did in that file was to apply the same expression that distorts surfaces according to points to each surface in the model, which is incredibly taxing on my computer. It also seems like an extremely long winded solution.
Essentially what I would like to know is if there is a way to manipulate the W plane in the same way as the UV plane in the first GH file.
If anyone has any advice at all I would be very grateful. I'm relatively new to GH so I'm very open to any and all criticism.
Thanks in advance.
